THE BRIEF

Dolce are a catering company, providing nutritionally balanced, high quality meals in school settings across the UK. Dolce have a state of the art test kitchen where their head chefs create amazing, fresh food that looks more like something you’d order from a restaurant than a traditional school dinners. We we’re invited along to film some of the amazing dishes Dolce produce to create a headline video for Dolce’s website.

PRODUCTION

The shoot was held on location at Dolce Catering’s test kitchen. We had two filming setups on the day to make the most of our time on site. Setup one was a station to present finished dishes. This included a fully lit set and a motorised turntable to add movement and interest to the dishes as we shot them. The second setup was a B Roll camera in the main kitchen, capturing the chefs as they prepared everything fresh on the day. As we’ve worked with Dolce on several projects we also have an archive of footage from previous shoots in schools Dolce caters. We were able to bring footage from this archive into the finished edit.
